Today we went to the Blue Mountains National Park and boarded the Skyway and Cableway cable cars. We were able to see the entire Blue Mountains National Park from a high altitude. Sitting on the cable car, we easily admired the famous Three Sisters, which are iconic attractions in the Blue Mountains. According to Aboriginal legend, the rocks were transformed by three sisters and tower over the traditional territory of the Gundungula and Tharoor Aboriginal people. The color of the rock surface changes constantly with the angle of the sun, making it an amazing natural wonder!
The most exciting activity for students is riding the Railway Jungle Train! This train is about 310 meters long, but it has an incline of 52 degrees, making it the steepest jungle train in the world! The train runs along the track built on the cliff, and the whole ride is very exciting! We can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Blue Mountains National Park which is really unforgettable!
The next stop is the Walkway Rainforest Trail, which is a 2.4-kilometer-long trail that allows us to experience firsthand the traces of past mining. Along this trail, we pass through dense rainforest and experience the dazzling beauty of nature. This was once an important area for mining, but now it has become a protected area, giving us a deep understanding of the relationship between man and nature.
In the afternoon, we came to the Australian National Maritime Museum. In this museum, we learned the stories of many explorers and navigators, and gained an in-depth understanding of the maritime history of Australia and its Aboriginal people. There are various ships and maritime related artifacts exhibited in this museum.
It enriches our common sense of the world.
